Sonam Gyalzen Sherpa comes from one of the best and most famous clans of the Everest Region. His childhood was spent in the small village of Solukhumbu, known as ‘Khari Khola’. He completed his Secondary School in the famous school called Edmund Hillary School which lies in Solukhumbu. His Father is an expert in the trekking field. Similarly, the same nature can be seen in Mr Sherpa as a son. So, he had started to work in various trekking and tour offices continuously for six years after secondary school. During that period, he gained lots of experience as General Manager of the travel companies and a Program Manager in INGO as well.
Now he is working in INGO known as ‘Smile For Help’ which serves for ‘cancer affected’ children and provides education and health facilities to needy person as well. Mr. Sherpa also donates some of his office’s 2.5% profit to this INGO. He is the founder and also General Secretary of the Jubing Sherpa Society. And he had left from leading the ‘North Extreme Himalayas Trek’.
After getting many experiences from many fields, now a days he has his own trekking office in which there is qualified and experienced staff and eight multilingual guides. Mr. Sherpa’s skill is not only spread in Nepal but also in foreign countries like USA, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Tibet and India as well. By visiting various countries he has learned various cultures, traditions and the way to respect them.
The Managing Director Mr. Sherpa insists on travelling through an experienced travel company nearly for two decades since he started.
