Sheikh Nazir Founded Explore Culture & Tours in 1976 and has been providing services for over 30 years to those seeking a new experience in India. Nazir, a native of Kashmir, started the company after his studies at the renowned Himalayan Mountain Institute in Darjeeling, where he became a certified mountaineer. With Explore Culture & Tours Nazir continues his love affair with the mountains as he creates exciting mountain-based treks and expeditions as well as the more common adventure trips. When starting Explore Culture & Tours, Nazir’s goal was to provide higher-quality adventure and cultural tours in north India and the Himalayas. Today, his company remains a small, family-owned business with a dedicated staff and is recognized as one of the leading adventure tour operators in India.
