Guide Bio

I am a licensed adventure tour guide. I have worked as a guide for more than 10 years. Now I am a leader and owner of a trekking company. It has been an exciting journey for me, from a porter to highly respected guide and consultant. I am delighted to now be leading my own team, using all my guiding and business experience to provide the best possible service for each client.

I completed my secondary level and higher level of schooling in Gorkha and then moved to Kathmandu in 2001. I’ve always been passionate about working in the hospitality sector. I love meeting new people and traveling to different places, exploring the natural beauty and interacting with the local people. At the beginning of my career, I started working in this field as a restaurant waiter for one year. After that, I decided I wanted to work in the tourism sector. I was confident and was really excited to work in this field.

At first, I started as a porter. After working for more than two years, I trained as a trekking guide and got my license. I have a lot of knowledge and experience with Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Nar Phu and all the lower and upper part of Manaslu.

Having traveled to almost all parts of the trekking areas throughout the country, I now have a lot of information about all the areas. I am a travel enthusiast and an expert in leading any trip from short excursions to long challenging treks off the beaten track. I am offering all our visitors a unique tradition that will be treasured for lifetime.

Santosh is an amazing guide! He is a lovely person and is very knowledgeable and well prepared on the mountain. I took a tour with him to Mount Everest Base Camp last year and he was incredibly encouraging and patient. We had such a great time laughing and hanging out on the trail and in the teahouses. He also knew exactly what to do and how to support me when I got sick. You can trust him in the best and the worst of situations to be right by your side and doing the best that he can. If you come to Nepal to go trekking, there is no better choice! Choose Santosh and the Nepal Trekking Company! Visited April 2015
