Guide Bio

Rich is the leader of BC’s only vertebrate paleontology research program at the Peace Region Palaeontology Research Centre. He is an  active advocate for fossil conservation and responsible management of fossil resources. He have served as paleontological advisor for B.C. Parks and have given substantial feedback on the developing fossil management framework legislation (initiated by the B.C. Government) for the province of British Columbia.

In addition to his duties as researchers and custodians of the bulk of BC’s vertebrate fossil heritage. His recent book “Tumbler Ridge – The Fossils” is one of three books focused on the attractions within the proposed boundaries of the Aspiring Tumbler Ridge Geopark.
