Peter Holley is the Chief Executive of Mission Estate Winery. Peter is self-motivated and result-oriented. He has worked in a number of industries and achieved extensive and successful strategic and operational initiatives. He is an expert in capital restructuring and brand development resulting in significant value creation. Peter proudly calls himself a mature, organised, and accomplished leader with a passion for his beautiful winery.
Originally purchased from the Tiffen family in 1897, the 800-acre Mission Estate became home to immigrant French Marist brothers. The first grapes were harvested in 1987 in the terraced area now used for the annual Mission Concert. Mission Estate is Hawke’s Bay’s oldest winery and has been owned and operated by Peter Holley, a South African immigrant since 1996. In the CEO position, he has had the opportunity to oversee brand development and the restructuring of the Company into a formidable producer of fine wine. Peter has contributed a significant amount of time to developing Mission Estate’s reputation as a producer of excellent wines and tour services, with consistent quality and value.
