Letter of Appreciation by Nepal Mountaineering Association for invaluable support to the development of Nepal Mountain Tourism
Island Peak Climbing
I am currently leading the Climbing and Expedition department with Himalayan Glacier. My main responsibilities include organizing successful trips for guests and ensuring their safety in the mountains. I have been working as a mountaineering leader since 1985 which has helped me gain vast knowledge about the mountains and its minute to minute details. I have traveled extensively throughout the trekking and mountaineering zones of Nepal like Simikot, Dolpa, Rara, Annapurna, Langtang to name a few. I have also been a part of several mountain expeditions organized by different countries including Germany, Tibet, UK, Holland, Japan, Korea and USA. I have also taken quite a few mountaineering training to hone my skills. I am fluent in English, Japanese, Sherpa and Nepali.
I was born in the year 1963 in the beautiful village of Sotang in the eastern region of Nepal. Thanks to the village’s mountain landscape, I have always fascinated with the Himalayas and love the feel of being amid the snow capped peaks.
Even after being in this profession for so many years and being on numerous expeditions, it has not affected my zeal for mountaineering. In fact, I want to embark on a new mission and that is to climb the mighty Mt. Everest from the south face again!
