Guide Bio
I am a Bay Area native and true Renaissance man as a skilled carpenter, auto mechanic, academic and irresistibly like-able guy. My talent with machinery and working with my hands led me initially to work as an auto technician, specializing in electrical diagnostics for luxury vehicles while still a high school student. By age 20, I was a fully certified ASE Technician. I shifted my attention to carpentry and entrepreneurship when my father and I started Everett Construction in Napa in 2003.
During the 2008 recession, two things happened. First, construction came to a screeching halt and I had some extra time on my hands. Second, I started working weekends as a sightseeing tour guide in Napa Valley. I fell in love with the hospitality teams at the wineries, as well as the wide array of guests I was showing around. In short order, I decided to pursue a new career path in hospitality.
Around the same time, I began taking night courses in mathematics and business in order to hone my skills as an entrepreneur. These courses eventually led me to realize my dream of studying at the University of California, Berkeley and graduating from Cal with distinction.
Despite my warm and welcoming demeanor, I am a baseball-crazed Oakland A’s fanatic – so be warned. On any given day, you will find me building something at home with the baseball game on in the background or running with my buddies through the vineyards.
