Pat Magie is the founder of the company Island Seaplane Service in Oahu. During his 55-years career as a seaplane pilot, he has flown many hunters, fishermen, and freight of all kinds in Minnesota, Alaska, Florida, Canada, Southeast Asia, Arctic and the Caribbean.
One of his memorable experiences is to play the double of Catherine Zeta Jones in her first movie, The Panthom which was released in 1996. Pat did all the flying stunt for the movie, which was filmed mostly in Thailand. Pat and his seaplanes appeared in many movies, television shows and commercials. Some of the movies include Godzilla (1998), 50 First Date (2004) and the remake of the TV series, Fantasy Island. His aircraft has also been in several Japanese TV shows and commercials.
Pat was named as the National Seaplane Pilot in the year 2000.
