First Intermediate Level Everest Summiteers
I am first and foremost a mountaineer, trekker and guide in Nepal. I love adventure! I am the youngest of a mountain climbing family and I developed an interest at a very young age. My family is known as “Everest Family,” as we hold the Guinness World Record for all members of the family (the seven boys) to successfully climb Mount Everest the highest number of times.
At the age of 18, I joined one of my brothers for my first climb of Mount Everest. It was important to my family that I continue my studies before attempting the family occupation of guiding and tourism. For the next few years, I attended various college courses and climbing training. I went to France and received my Mountaineer diploma. I have obtained my Guide Training and Mountaineering Liaison Officer Training diplomas from the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management. I was also certified for the Basic, Advanced Mountaineer Training and High Mountain Rescue Training programs from the Nepal Mountaineer Association. I also have my B.A. and B.Sc.
For my outstanding climbing success and experience, I hold the highest qualification from the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association.
While I live to experience nature and guiding, I have had many other interests over the years. I am the founder of an IT online business, a weekly newspaper, Secretary of Mount Everest Summiteers Club and a member of the Dolakha Tourism Development Board. I also enjoy photojournalism.
My motto has always been, “Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained.”
