I am a co-founder and Managing Director of an adventure tour operator. As a pioneer trekker, guide, entrepreneur, mountain rescuer and senior mountaineering instructor, I am proud to have been the first person to undertake a solo mountaineering expedition in Nepal. I summited Mount Makalu solo in 1982, as a result of which many other mountaineers started going on solo expeditions.
Over the last 30 years, I have organized and guided many expeditions such as VIP trips, including accompanying the Prince and Princess of Spain on a trek. I have also surveyed new trekking routes. From this, along with my enthusiasm and dedication to this work, I have received many awards and recognitions.
I believe there is always room for improvement and for that, I have participated and presented many trainings, seminars and trainings on mountaineering. My success has been based on reaching the summits on 6,000-meter high peaks and climbing European peaks of Mount Blanc, Matterhorn and Dolomite.
I enjoy sharing my passion by engaging as the main co-coordinator for the Himalayan Rescue Association of Nepal and the founding member of Nepal National Mountain Guide Association. I am currently the Vice President of this organization. I lead the way for the Nepal National Mountain Guide Association to become a member of the International Union of Mountaineering Associations in 2007.
