Thanks to his determination and vision he advanced quite fast, which gave him the opportunity to lead and climb numerous of the highest mountains.
In 2008, Norbu Sherpa was one of the actors in the movie “Sherpa’s: The true Heroes of Mount Everest”, as a Sardar for the organization of the Mount Everest expedition. The movie shows the real life of the Sherpa’s while they are on expeditions with clients. Norbu Sherpa was born in Ghunsa (3800m), Taplejung (Nepal) beneath the third highest peak in the World, the Mount Kanchenjunga (8586m). After having spent his childhood running after yaks, he was sent to Darjeeling (India), land of tea plantations to attend school and to study.
