Guide Bio

Ngima Nuru Sherpa is a very experienced guide, who has worked tirelessly as a trekking guide in the Himalayas for the past 15 years.  He is the founder of Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expeditions.

Born in Eaten Park Nepal, in the Mount Everest region, Ngima has grown up with the Himalayas in his backyard.  No one knows this region better than him.  He spent his childhood in Hewa, before moving to Khatmandu at the age of 15.  In his youth, before becoming a guide, Ngima was a porter, carrying loads up to 40 Kg.  He was always the youngest and most genuine porter of them all.  He made an emphasis on working hard and being punctual.  Being the son of a farmer, and persevering through numerous obstacles to get to where he is now, he has learned the endurance and patience required to not only be a stellar guide, but also how to run his own company.

Ngima Started his career as a trekking guide gaining valuable experience working with numerous reputable companies.  He used these years to not only understand the skill of trekking, but also paid close attention to the needs and experiences of the travelers themselves.  His creation of Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expeditions fulfills his dream of creating the ideal experience for a traveler on his or her trekking adventure.  Ngima enjoys enabling travelers to embrace the beauty and energy of nature on each and every trek.  It is this passion for nature, along with his positive attitude, that has allowed him to create a reputable trekking company that provides trekking tours at the highest level.
