Guide at a Glance
Liverpool, England, United Kingdom
Heritage-History Tour, Private Tour, Sightseeing
Hello – My name is Neil I am 59 years old and currently work as a part-time University Tutor, teaching Psychology and Management Studies.
I have lived and worked in Liverpool for most of my life and am a great admirer of the city, its people and its culture.
I am a big fan of this amazing City and will be proud to guide you through it’s many wonderful attractions.
I am also a life long Liverpool football supporter, which I am glad to say doesn’t preclude me from also taking an interest in the ‘Reds’ great rival from across Stanley Park, Everton Football Club.
My passion is for local and family history and as a keen amateur genealogist I have researched my own family tree extensively, as well as assisting many others to do the same. If you have ancestors from the City please let me know, perhaps I can research some places of family history significance for you.
I often say my life began when at the age of eight I heard the roll of drums that opened the Beatles’ first massive hit ‘She Loves You’ on the radio, my love of their unique sound and melodies has never diminished since.
Although I thoroughly enjoy meeting people and imparting knowledge it never occurred to me until recently that I could combine my interests with my knowledge of Merseyside and share these with visitors to the city as a local tour guide.
When not on foot you will be carefully transported in my Toyota Verso People Carrier. Please feel at liberty to combine short tours or ask me to custom make a tour in order to fully meet your needs.
If you should book a tour with me you will hopefully find me, as others do, a warm and friendly man with a wicked sense of humour and a genuine love for his City.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing an unforgettable day out!
