My name is Nabraj Ghimire, but people call me Raj for short. I am a lifelong resident of Nepal and was born in an isolated village in the Annapurna region, known as Simpani -9 Khudi Lamjung. My village is well-known for being the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. I have always been interested in other cultures and countries. This curiosity has led me away from my traditional family farm to Kathmandu, to where I can meet people from all over the world and learn about other cultures and beliefs.
While in Kathmandu, I completed my masters degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from Tribhuvan University. I aspired to learn the history and future trends that shape societies worldwide. As travel has always been my passion, I started working with a local tourism company and was inspired to start my own company to help others learn about the real Nepal, while learning from the travelers about their home countries.
Over the last 10 years, I have worked in the travel industry, specializing in Nepalese cultural retreats and traditional trekking routes. During my off time, I travel whenever I can. I have explored over a dozen countries, including the mystical kingdom of Bhutan, several countries in the Middle East, Great Britain and the relaxing Greek Isles. Reflecting on everything I have seen and learned, it is my mission to share my experiences with others. If you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me!
