Guide Bio
“Having fun climbing and mountaineering in Snowdonia with a huge range of clients is a real privilege and a great job exploring the hills, sea cliffs, gorges, and crags.” – Matt Shaw
Matt was locally educated in Snowdonia and takes pleasure in speaking both Welsh and English during outdoor adventures.
He grew up in the heart of Snowdonia with many opportunities to take part and have fun in the hills and outdoors from an early age. Living in Dinorwic and being surrounded by the climbing community as a child, the hills and quarries were his playground.
Matt has been involved in lots of hill sports and watersports, but his real passion is for winter mountaineering and he recently completed his winter mountain leader training at Allschellach, Glen Coe, Scotland.
