Guide Bio

My fascination with travel began as a young boy, eagerly anticipating the stories and weird and wonderful gifts my father would bring home from his business trips abroad. My first solo backpacking travel was to the Caribbean as a raw and innocent 18-year old – just like that, I had caught the travel bug!

Following university and after 6 years abroad working as an English language teacher in Japan and South Korea, coupled with innumerable explorations across Asia, I headed home to the UK. Once settled, I opened a sightseeing tour company, Roots Travel & Tours, in Cambridge, to create opportunities for overseas visitors to experience the unique history and culture of Britain, as guides Asia-wide had offered me. Today, Roots’ tours run every week to some of the highlight attractions my homeland has to offer. Join me on a public scheduled sightseeing tour or your own private tour where I will reveal to you the roots of British culture.
