Martine led an expertly planned tour of Provence. She planned the days to be filled with great views, historical sites, a wine tasting tour, fascinating towns and wonderful food. The days were just busy enough – enticing, but not exhausting. She also made certain we were immersed in the rhythms of Provence life – we lingered over lunch, tried local fruits and vegetables, bought bread and croissants at local bakeries and sampled two town’s markets. Dining was a treat everywhere we went. Martine is well acquainted with Provence – she knows the scenic routes, the most appealing towns and the sights that shouldn’t be missed. She is fluent in French; it is her first language. We spent an exceptional week in Provence, every day was a treat and every day took advantage of the beauty and the way of life Provence has to offer. I enthusiastically recommend a Gout et Voyage trip – you will never forget it!

My trip to Provence with Gout et Voyage was nothing short of fantastic! Martine shared so many “hidden gems” from the area – from spectacular markets to intimate cooking classes to informational walking tours and more. The trip was very diverse; each day was a different type of excursion which made the experience nicely paced. If you take this trip, you’ll never be bored! All of the cooking classes are highly hands-on and great for any at-home cook (or aspiring cook) who wants to take learnings back to try at home. Plenty of opportunities are given for shopping, as well, to pick up culinary or other items from the region. Martine’s expertise in the area and the history of the towns is solid; she made sure the trip never feel like too much of a lecture but still shared tons of stories and anecdotes that rounded out the experience and added another dimension to what we saw and did. While there is always something to do, the small groups and structure of the itinerary means there is always flexibility, as well. The option to stay by the pool or walk around a town a bit longer is easily worked into the day’s activities. I highly recommend a Gout et Voyage experience for friends, families, or even singles; a week very well spent!
