Guide Bio
I am a PADI Master Instructor and owner at a popular education dive center. I have 39 years of active diving experience with 36 years as a diving professional and 14 years as a divemaster and deckhand. I have logged 7,335 dives with 6,298 hours underwater as a Black Water diver, Solo diver, Rescue diver, Wreck diver and a Search and Recovery diver.
I have been a Safety diver for the International Hot Boat Association, a Safety diver for Event Medics, a Track Technician for the International Hot Boat Association, a Life Support Equipment Repair Technician, a SNUBA guide, a Seatrek Guide and Safety diver and a University of Southern California Hyperbaric Chamber Operator. I also have conducted a University of Southern California Emergency Diver Accident Management Course.
I am certified to teach 12 specialties plus three distinctive specialties. I was awarded in August 2014, the PADI Heli-Diver 1 Distinctive Specialty. The first ever in the Americas.
I was introduced to diving back in the late 60s watching re-runs of Sea Hunt and the Underwater World of Jacques Cousteau. It wasn’t until 1976 that he had the opportunity to learn to dive. By 1978, I knew I wanted to share the adventure with others. In 1979, I became a divemaster and in 1981, I earned my Instructor Certification. I have taught classes for Diver Jays Scuba, City of Norwalk, Guccione’s Scuba Habitat, PADI International College, Catalina Scuba Luv, OC Helicopters and the City of Corona.
I’ve been fortunate to dive all around the world and the adventure never ends!
