Guide Bio
I am a sightseeing guide and owner of this wonderful tour company. I received my B.A. in History from the University of Florida and graduated from Catholic University’s Law School in Washington, D.C. After practicing law in West Virginia for several years, my family and I moved to Franklin.
In 1995, I began as a volunteer leading walking tours for Franklin’s Heritage Foundation classroom program, which offers programs on local history to Williamson County students. Three years later, I became the Heritage Foundation classroom teacher and in 2003, co-founded Franklin on Foot. I later spent three years as director of group tours, special events and weddings and bookstore manager at Historic Carnton Plantation, and in 2008-09 served as Carnton’s interim Executive Director.
I wrote Ghosts of Franklin, Tennessee’s Most Haunted Town and Lizzie’s War. The latter is a historical novel for elementary-age children set in Franklin during the Civil War.
I’m married and have three children. I love to travel the world taking walking tours everywhere I go but always love coming back, to my home in Franklin, Tennessee.
