Guide Bio

I have been an adventure trekking guide since 1990. I specialize in the adventure hiking trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. I have done almost all trekking in Nepal as well as India Bhutan and Tibet. Desire comes from soul and Nepal is the dream destination for others to see the Himalayan vistas, natural and cultural beauties with unity in diversity.

I was born in the rural area of Nepal called Nibuwaswara Dhading. I am happy to work in the mountains as a helper and guide for unexplored destinations. Your satisfaction is my motto and service delivery is my duty. I am always happy guide for dream destinations.

Krishna was my guide in Manaslu Circuit Trek + Tsum Valley Trek in November 2016.

I highly recommend him as a great companion and person you can feel safe within the remote areas of Himalayas at high altitudes. Let me give you some examples:
    1. First of all, Krishna has a very friendly attitude towards people he guides. He is curious about the world you are coming from and is willing to tell you about his world. I appreciate his knowledge and experience he shared with me regarding Hinduism, Buddhism, culture of local people etc. Moreover, he is a well educated person with whom you can discuss various topics well beyond Nepal and Himalayas. Since one usually spends with her/his guide 2-3 weeks, it is crucial to be able to have fun together and to talk about various topics while struggling to get uphill. Krishna is that kind of person definitely!
    2. He was always choosing places where it was safe to eat and most comfortable to stay (up to a standard you can expect in the mountains, of course). Frequently, he told us that we should not eat at a certain place for fear we might suffer from some stomach illness. Moreover, whenever possible, he was able to book us a room always a bit better than the others (eg. warmer, cleaner etc.). Because local people know Krishna (and like him), you immediately get acknowledged as his friend and very often get special treatment unlike random tourists popping up in a village along a trail.
    3. We had an emergency situation at 4400m. One of our colleagues started to suffer from altitude sickness just before sunset. Krishna organized a descent in 5 minutes. He was leading the ill person together with a porter, even though it was dark and freezing. He managed to call a helicopter which arrived immediately after sunset to take the ill person to a hospital in Kathmandu.
    4. Krishna is open to changes in the original plan according to preferences of people he guides, weather, acclimatization.
    5. I appreciate the fact that Krishna took us to a female Buddhism monastery in Tsum Valley which is not situated along the main trail. I am sure that thanks to him I was allowed to see things which normal tourists would not be able to experience on their own.
    6. Krishna takes care of porters as wells. He treats them as equal members of the trekking team. I appreciate such attitude as, actually, porters work really hard carrying one’s belongings.

To sum up, I will get back to Nepal for sure and will contact Krishna for another endeavor. If you feel like having Krishna as your guide, please contact him through his profile or tours listed here.
