Vail Valley Wade
I received my first fly rod at the age of six as a reward for playing a piano recital. This was the beginning of the end. I have fly-fished and only fly fished ever since. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to fish all over the world including the Pyrenees Mountains of France, New Zealand, Alaska, British Columbia, the Great Lakes, as well as Pacific tributaries for steelhead.
I split my adventure guide calendar between hunting and fishing. In the springtime, you will find me in the Montana and Wyoming territories chasing large spring fish that are happy the ice and cold has subsided. From mid June til September, the waters of the Vail Valley are my home. The month of September is mostly filled with archery elk and bear hunts on private ranches but don’t be surprised to see me on the rivers or in the fields chasing early season birds. From October to February, I primarily guide duck and goose hunts on the Denver Front Range.
