My name is Judit Banka I am Hungarian from Budapest, and for 15 years I have been working as a tour guide with Spanish, Latin American and Brazilian tourists.
I do varied tours of Budapest, Hungary, tours, transfers and excursions in my car for 2-4 people. In case they are more numerous, we do it by minibus, driver, guide, or coach.
Always privately, NOT mixing several languages and mixing customers from other countries.
I love my city and my country, and I try to transmit that feeling to the visitors to whom I am fortunate to be able to accompany.
I love making my country known. And I always try to do it in the most clear, comfortable and entertaining way possible.
As I really enjoy my work so I get the visitor to take a beautiful memory of their stay.
The truth is that I do not have it difficult, my country provides a very wide offer to the visitor: culture, history, gastronomy, entertainment, modernity, its people … It is simply a matter of combining all this well, and thus achieve those feelings of enjoyment and happiness to Which we all aspire to on our travels.
Briefly (on the web you can see it in detail) I introduce you to what my activity consists of.
Hungary is a country with a precious history. I try to explain it in a pleasant way in the visits through our streets, monuments, museums …. Thus, we will visit places that will take us to episodes of our past and recent history, where the visitor can feel, and breathe these events: from the creation of Hungary by the Magyars in the s.IX, through the conversion to Catholicism of the country with King Stephen, the splendor of King Matthias, the stay of the Turks for 150 years, the Austro-Hungarian monarchy with the glamorous Sissi, the two world wars … to communism (which I lived in part) and events More recent. Undoubtedly, all this will make the visitor take a clearer and more understandable view of what is now Hungary after these visits and walks.
If we think of enjoyments, we quickly turn to our gastronomy. I advise my clients about restaurants and dishes, trying to combine traditional with fusion. Budapest is full of good restaurants (for all budgets), from the oldest and most indigenous to the most creative and fashionable. In all of them there is a Hungarian-Danubian gastronomic touch distinguished by the quality of its products: the famous goulash soup, the stew, foie de oca, game, the meat empanada and the famous cakes … during the visit we are going to A pastry shop in Buda, where Empress Sissi was going to have coffee, and we can taste the cottage cheese or poppy, or the Dobos cake.
Another enjoyment: Music. . For most music lovers, I usually suggest a concert at the Danube Palace or a representation of Opera.
Or a folkloric program and then a boat trip at night, with the city illuminated.
Or have a more alternative beer in any of the “ruin bars” of Budapest, like the “Szimpla”.
Any additional information, or help they need, do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to assist you.
