Beach Day in Ghana
I am a local private sightseeing tour guide. I became a guide after I completed senior high in 2002. I wrote to members of Tafi Monkey Sanctuary to do some services with them and I was granted two years with them. From there, I decided to go back to school to study Tourism Management because of the experience I gathered during my service. This had driven and boost my vision to become a tour guide.
I have had my tourism certificate and served for one year in 2010 when I decided to register become a private tour guide. Being a tour guide is a great opportunity simply because it embraces you with different people of different cultures. In fact, tour guiding has been a tool for me to know people with their views and ideas, culture, history and language. I teach my visitors some of Ghanaian language like what we call Akan Ewe, which happens to be my language.
