Guide at a Glance
I am a native of Roatan, I’ve spent most of my life here, went away to earn a degree in Optometry in Costa Rica. Came back to Roatan and started my own practice, discovered a few years later how much I absolutely hated being stuck inside a clinic or any type of office space. I wanted to do something I was passionate about. I sold the business and did a bit of traveling trying to figure out what was going to be my next career move. I decided to take a shot at making a living doing something I love, which was pretty easy. I took advantage of the tourism industry Roatan has to offer and combined it with my love of the Ocean. I love to snorkel, fishing and taking boat rides to the secluded beaches on Roatan’s East End. After traveling and meeting people from all over and having a few of them visit me on Roatan, they always suggested two things, that I should either be in the food industry or a tour guide. So after so many friendly tours I decided to go Pro with it and started my own business, offering Boat Charters for the Eastern End of Roatan, the path less traveled. I love being a guide in my backyard, I take pride showing off our beautiful reef and it’s vibrant marine and coral life, I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, any day on the water is awesome but it’s even better in good company. I try to keep my tour groups small enough to learn all my guest name and also to learn a little about them. I never feel like am working, it’s just another day on the water with friends and family. My top priorities are safety and fun. I do my best to make sure my guest enjoy their time when out with me.
