I love being outdoors, having a good laugh with my guest and showing them something unique as well. From finding the best powder stashes to cruising through forest trails on mountain bikes, whatever the mode I love moving through nature. The Northern Alps in Japan have something for everyone and the culture, history and beauty of the region is what keeps me engaged and motivated to show my guests the area.
I guide hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, canyoning, but my favourite season is winter where I love to see people getting stoked on skiing the Hakuba backcountry! I grew up hiking and skiing in the Alberta Rockies in Canada, moved to Hakuba Japan in 2003 and have been guiding year round here ever since.
