Hey Guys, welcome to my profile!
30 years on water… guiding rafting, white water canoe, canyoning, caving.
I was born in 1974 and fell in love in rivers when I was 14. I started training on canoe that time on flat water with a Hungarian canoe club. I’ve participated in a lot of canoe races too.
I studied 10 years at the Budapest University of Technology. This was not the life I wanted…
In 1996, Ibought a white water kayak. …and that day was the beginning of my new life. I became an inline-raft guide in Austria that summer. I spent every weekend on the river. In 1997, I founded my rafting company and started taking trips on the Soča. I lead a few expeditions in Morocco or on the Euphrates in Turkey.
In 2004, with my best friends (who were also rafting guides in my company) we decided to compete in the European Rafting Championship and we came in 3rd. The next year I was a member in the national rafting team on the World Championships in Ecuador, then in 2007, in South Korea.
I became a class 4/5 rafting instructor at the International Rafting Federation in 2005. (There is no other internationally recognized instructor in Slovenia.) I started to educate and certify rafting guides from all over the world. In 2012, I founded a rafting company in Newfoundland, Canada.
At this time, you can find me mostly on the Soča and on the mystic Tara in Montenegro, which is one of my favourite European multi-day rafting scenes.
It is not only about rafting, I love guiding white water canoe and canyoning trips as well. In Slovenia we have several canyons what give you an unforgettable summer experience. They definitely should be on your bucket list.
Come over and let me show you all the beauty of the activities I love.
See you on the river or in the canyon!
