The Metropolitan Museum of Art or Foodie tours
Forget about the coach tours where you’re packed in with a bunch of strangers. And put away the pocket guide book and the map. Let me be your personal guide who will show you things in a short few hours that would take you weeks of research and years of experience to learn. It would be my absolute pleasure.
Hi I’m Geovanni and I’m a personal tour guide with insider knowledge, fun personality and a passion for NYC where I have lived my entire life (with an 11 month exception when I became certain I will always be a New Yorker). I spent my college years studying architecture in Brooklyn and worked professionally for celebrities and the movers & shakers of NYC living in Manhattan. However I eventually found my true calling, which is to show people the city I love. I’m a NYC foodie who is always up to date on the best places to eat in the city. I also have an in depth knowledge about NYC history. When we’re walking by something ordinary or a landmark I can fill you in on something you never would have known was connected to where you’re standing at that moment.
I grew up on Staten Island and recall from an early age being drawn to the skyscrapers and hustle that was in that far away place of Manhattan. Luckily my mother would take me with her on weekends, which was my favorite thing in the world. In my teens I was inspired by the Guggenheim to become an architect, which I did. As soon as I could afford it I moved to the Upper East Side. Now I spend my time between Park Slope in Brooklyn and am often found in Manhattan. However my explorations truly go to all five boroughs semi regularly.
I love being a personal tour guide and showing visitors what makes my city so special. I’m available 7 days a week including public holidays and I can book on short notice! However it is typical for clients to book as early as possible to ensure my availability.
The vast majority of my tours are between 2 – 8 hours in length and these can certainly be done last minute. I do this because I want you to have options however the more time we have the more I can cover and the more stories I can share. Plus the more good food I can share with you. I view my tours online as simple outlines. I am very well rounded and offer a tour that’s personal to you. NYC is a walking city but for tours that go over 3 hours we may use the subway. You will get a real feel of what it is like to be a local and I’ll show you how to use the subway system. Certain clients prefer travelling by private car and that can always be arranged by myself with little anticipation. I am very flexible on starting times and from my experience working in high end design for very high end clientele I believe in taking care of my guests with special customer service.
I’m a passionate tour guide who brings his love for food, architecture, and a good story to every tour. I’m very knowledgeable of the 5 boroughs however I definitely know more than most tour guides about the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, Downtown Manhattan, Pizza, Brooklyn and Staten Island. I don’t like singling them out but to leave it out might be a greater injustice.
Additionally I’m almost always aware of what’s currently happening in the city whether it be a local festival or event. I’m always on top of what’s going on because as a local I’m often enjoying and experiencing the city. I have tons of great memories in this great city and I look forward to helping you do the same. If you go on one of my tours you can be sure to get personal service and I’d be glad to help you plan your itinerary before you come out here. I know all the in’s and out’s of NYC and will help you plan the best trip possible for your group.
