Gale Carswell came from a family of missionaries, like her great great uncle A.S. Wilcox (son of Hanalei missionary Abner and Lucy Wilcox), who travelled to Hawaii in the mid 1800′s and purchased Princeville plantation way back in 1893. Gale together with her husband Donn, operate and manage a successful trail riding business in Princeville Ranch (formerly known as Pooku Stables) since 1978, offering horseback rides on their 2,500 acres property. Gale and her husband took over the cattle operations in 1994.
