Guide Bio
Eveline Zoutendijk was born and raised in the Netherlands. Her passion for cooking began when she was 12. In 1987, she went to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school, passionate about learning more about food and wine. She graduated with honors and worked in a Michelin star kitchen for 1 year.
When she travelled in Istanbul, she realised how much she loved the city and decided to live there. She took over a small hotel in Sultanahmet where she created Istanbul’s first Turkish cooking school, Cooking Alaturka.
In November 2007, the building was sold, and her rental contracted came to an end. Chef Feyzi and Eveline moved to neew premises and re-opened the cooking school combined with a small restaurant by adding a few tables. Since then, she has only been thinking about her passion for food!
