Evan Dowdy is the owner of High Country Angler Fly Fishing Guide Service. Evan has been fly fishing for over 26 years and has been actively guiding fly fishing trips for the past 12. Evan loves teaching others the nuances of fly fishing and guiding them through casting patterns and technique. He even loves helping beginners identify fish that they have caught or teaching them some rudimentary entomology to better understand the different flies and how they correspond to the preferences of different types of fish. If you’re a seasoned vet, have no fear, Evan is perfectly happy to take you to the best spots and let your experience go to work; he can offer a weathered and practised eye to scrutinize your technique, if that is what you are looking for.
