Eric best describes himself as a guide that not only loves what he does, but has a passion to share his love for adventure and mountaineering with anyone he can. He feels like the most important part of his career as a guide is to always strive to be the best guide possible, and he does this buy putting his guests above all else. He believes his guests and him are a team, and he strives to ensure they have a safe, memorable experience.
In addition to his enthusiasm, as a chief guide, he carries a wealth of mountaineering experience to draw on at all times, in any situation. He is a high end, multi-faceted guide with experience in Rock, Mountain and Ski guiding, at the expert level. Boasting an impressive resume of international experience working in great ranges around the world, he still chooses Canada as his favorite place to live and work.
A certified IFMGA/ACMG Mountain Guide, CAA Level II & Professional Member as well as CSIA Level II, Eric has an impressive list of accomplishments. He has pioneered Canadian Mixed climbing, establishing some of the hardest and longest routes in the world. He considers his career highlight the climb of the Rights of Passage on the North Face of Mt. Kitchener, the worlds most difficult pure ice climb.

- Mountain: North Face of the Eiger, Switzerland.
- Mt. Robson Kain route in two days car to car, Canada
- Rock: Directe Des Capucin on the Grand Capucin, France. Achilles Spire, 13 pitch new route on dolomite spire * * Canadian Rockies accomplished with guests
-Soft Adventures: Designed and built the Squamish Via Ferrata
-Ski: 100’s of ski mountaineering ascents, many Selkirk lodge, Rogers Pass and Wapta Extreme Skiing the Steeps trips.
Eric currently resides with his wife and 3 year old daughter in Squamish, B.C.
