Guide Bio

I am a visionary composer, singer, musician, recording artist, visual artist and teacher of contemplative music and meditation. Based on my experience and knowledge, I founded this organization to teach people how to explore the deep levels of listening, consciousness, resonant space, breath, sensation, and vibration.

I also created the group, The Harmonic Choir, considered by many to be one of the world’s pre-eminent overtone ensembles. I have recorded more than 12 albums highlighting Harmonic Chant, Mantra, Sufi poetry and poetic texts. The instrumental accompaniments range from wind harp and Sufi Ney flute to tabla and zarb percussion and even the gigantic bell in Boudhanath, Nepal.

I spent 10 years as an artist-in-residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York. Now based in France, I have lead retreats since 1980 all over the world. Some of my greatest accomplishments include presenting at the Dalai Lama’s Mind and Life Institute, receiving awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, UNESCO, the Edwards Foundation Arts Fund and the Rockefeller Foundation.

I am a Dharma student and have studied with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche. I also completed nearly 20 years of spiritual studies in the Gurdjieff Foundations in New York, San Francisco and Paris, as a student of two of Gurdjieff’s successors, Lord John Pentland and Dr. Michel de Salzmann.

I currently divide time between France, where I direct Pommereau and the U.S. where I teach, perform and lecture on behalf of my foundation.
