Guide Bio
I am an adventure guide and paragliding instructor. I spend my half of my time in Nepal and the other half in Switzerland. I am guiding tandem in summertime with this company and in wintertime I am running around the world teaching flying. My passion is flying and taking a trip or course with me is a total new experience.
I am an OFAC Swiss Instructor, a European Instructor and have my International Master APPI 10002. I completed in acrobatic competitions from 2001 to 2004. I placed 5th at the RedBull Vertigo in 2002, 4th at the RedBull Vertigo in 2003 and 2nd at the OMEGNA in 2003.
I attended the Open Blue Sky Paragliding School in Nepal in 2000. It is the largest paragliding school in Asia. I studied the creation of the first simulation of incident course, based on acrobatic progression. In 2000, David invented the rhythmic SAT, which in 2001 became a required component of accro competition. I was the first pilot to execute 6 consecutives tumblings during the RedBull Vertigo in 2001.
I am the President and founder of APPI at www.appifly.org. It is an international organisation about paragliding development and education. I have been working and giving the course all around the world since 2009.
My specialities include SIV acrobatic security courses, exploration and discovery of new flying routes in Nepal and developing new centre around the world Trans-Himalayan. I promote nature conservation with my work and my life.
