4 Day Bowron Lake Ski Tour: It's so unbelievably snow-laden that I'm stunned by the experience every time!
Dave has canoed since he could walk, starting with exploring the canoe in stormy days on the Great Lake Huron, and leading his first Canoe trip on Canadian Voyageur routes at the age of 15. Certified as a Ski instructor since the age of 14 and Canoe Instructor at the age of 18, Dave has a lifetime of outdoor and wilderness experience. 20 years of paddling, researching, hiking, skiing and exploring the North Cariboo Mountains has given Dave an intimate and relaxed relationship with the local environment. Today, there is no-one with a more intimate knowledge of the Bowron Lake Circuit and the surrounding mountains. If you’d like to experience an intimate relationship with the landscape and understand it in terms of both its wild and human context, then it’s Dave that creates those conditions. “There’s one thing about wilderness travel that is key for me….It’s the opportunity to share the experience with another individual. That’s something that separates guides from other wilderness adventurers…the desire to bring other people into the exceptional conditions we get to experience, as a normal part of our lives”.
