Guide Bio
Clive is a highly professional, qualified off road motorbiking coach/instructor. Genuinely interested in helping others fulfill their potential, he approaches customer training with a “rod for life” instead of a “fish for one day” mindset! For him, its all about empowering you.
He loves delivering off road motorbike training to free up people to choose to explore remoter locations on two wheels. MotoScotland’s off road training courses are recognised by insurers like Devitt & Bikesure as having significant importance at advancing your road riding (as well, of course, as your off road) skills.
You can learn how to control a bike at very slow speeds and how to steer and brake on very slippy surfaces. This can pay huge benefits in safely controlling your bike on the public highways on surfaces like diesel, gravel, mud, metal, smooth surfaces, etc..
Although the training courses can significantly improve your riding skills and road safety, Clive has an encouraging and fun approach which relaxes people and helps them achieve confidence and competence.
Small group sizes, personalised one to one advice, stunning scenery, nature and wildlife all add to the feeling of freedom that motorcycling off road brings.
Everything is included in the price: off road motorbike; fuel; insurance; safety kit and clothing; qualified instructor; all food and drink; access to a private 50,000 acre Highland estate; certificate of training completion (completing Level 2 course qualifies you for insurance premium discounts for your road bike – please ask us for more details).
All national and international customers are welcome. A good grasp of English and the names of motorbike parts, e.g. clutch, etc., will help.
A Compulsory Basic Training license or higher (or international equivalent) is needed to partake in the training.
