I am the managing director and a guide at an adventure tour company. I have always had, and continue to have, a strong desire to remain active on the frontline of the tours. In fact, I have lead more than 100 group tours and countless individual tours to Everest Base Camp, the Annapurna Circumference, Langtang, Manaslu, Dolpo and Mount Kailash. I have also enjoyed guiding to peaks of Island, Mera, Lobuche, Baruntse, Cho Oyu and Pumari. I continue to train all guides, including myself.
I was born in a remote village, surrounded by lush forest and an endless chain of hills, under the stunning views of Mount Kanchenjunga. I enjoy the beauty of Nepal, which many take for granted. My passion for nature inspired me to start my career as a trekking Sherpa.
With my extensive travel through Asia and the European countries of Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy, I was able to gain knowledge. Trekking the rural areas of Nepal also helped to gain incredible opportunities to study about the principles and nature of global tourism and build the business relationship with tourism entrepreneurs from around the globe.
My goal is to use my personal success and positive mind-set to help to create social change for the people of Nepal, beginning with support of various non-profit organizations. A project close to my heart is the set-up of Himalaya House.
