Guide Bio

Not only is Beth an accomplished adventure and hiking guide, she also holds the World Record for having hiked the famous West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island no less than 70 times! And she’s still not tired of it, she says. Her co-workers at Sea to Sky Expeditions describe her as unflappable and infallible – she’s dealt with every possible situation over the past three decades of her guiding career and she still says she’ll keep guiding until her legs can no longer carry her.

Beth Dempster's Reviews

  • GuideAdvisor Staff

The GuideAdvisor team spent an afternoon with Beth and the Sea to Sky Expedition guides in Squamish, BC and they were all great. We watched as they efficiently packed up gear from a recent excursion and heard stories about their favourite trips – everything from witnessing humpback whales using bubble nets to catch prey to setting the world record of most hiking trips on the West Coast Trail. The Sea to Sky guides are professional, fun and entertaining.
