Guide Bio
Angeliki Bourni, a licensed tour guide in Greece, was born and raised in Athens. In a three year program at the School of Tourist Guides, she studied the history and archaeology of Greece from the palaeolithic period to modern times. Angelika participated in art seminars at various museums, such as the Rodin and Louvre Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). This experience helped her learn more about their collections and provided her an opportunity to discover new ways to deal with the public. In Athens, she was involved in conferences and seminars held by the American School of Classical Studies, the British School of Athens, the Ecole Française d’Athènes, and more.
Angelika has been working as a professional tour guide for more than 20 years. Over this time, she has guided many official delegations, scholars, TV celebrities, and foreign television networks. She has also worked with the Olympic committee, embassies, and Greek ministries. She loves Greece and its historical sites and museums. Angelika is based in Athens and loves to personalize private sightseeing tours to accommodate what you want and need to make your experience a memorable one.
