Andrew Watt is the head guide at Manawatu Fly Fishing. With over 25 years experience fishing in the waters of New Zealand’s North Island, he has gained ample insight into the best place to fish. Andrew knows of areas perfectly suited to teach beginner fly fishers and those who have never held a rod the basic techniques behind the sport. While he cannot guarantee a fish, taking beginners to the best river systems for novice flyfishing has caused his guided trips to have an astonishing success rate. Conversely, Andrew knows of more challenging spots and can lead experienced anglers to waterways where they can catch trophy brown trout. Andrew has lived in New Zealand all of his life and spends a lot of his free time looking for new waters to fish in order to provide his guests with the most informed local knowledge.
