Guide Bio
Andrew Patrick has worked as a former Vice President of the Cumberland Bird Observers Club located in Sydney. He was heavily involved in leading outings for the club since 1999. He also became a professional bird guide in 2003 with particular interest in educating educating people with little to no knowledge about birds. He taught beginners and members of the public the practicalities of birdwatching and helped them appreciate the beauty of Australian birds.
Andrew was also the creator and host of “Let’s Go Birdwatching”, Australia’s first birdwatching TV series. Occasionally, he appears on ABC and 2RRR radio as a guest and conducts outings and bird surveys for some Sydney councils.
Andrew loves taking part in some conservation projects: reintroduction of Gouldian Finches at Mareeba Wetlands, searching for Gould’s Petrel nests on Cabbage Tree Island, etc
