South Africa Adventure
South Africa’s got it all: mountain landscapes, stunning beaches, bustling cities, and fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. It’s the perfect destination for a thrill seeker, whether you’re climbing the famous Table Mountain overlooking Cape Town or hopping on a lion safari. It’s not hard to get excited about all the outdoors options! If you want to see the very best of the country, set out on your own South Africa adventure. Hiring a local guide in South Africa is the best way to go.
If you’re flying into Cape Town, the first thing you have to do is hike Table Mountain. Allow yourself six to eight hours to do so. Believe it or not, you can spend all day on the mountain and not meet another soul. Your guide can take you up a less well-trodden route. There are various river gorges up the mountain and on top of it, as well as five reservoirs. You can also see the rare plants of the Fynbos Plant Kingdom. There are also shorter route options, although the path may be more strenuous.
For more hiking options, consider the Cape Point Nature Reserve for your South Africa adventure. Here you can visit deserted beaches, beautiful cliffs bordering the coastline, plenty of birds and wildlife, and even a penguin colony. If you’d rather feel the wind in your hair, do the route via trike. You can summit Chapmans Peak, ride down through Noordhoek to Kommetjie, as well as the Misty Cliffs. Other scenic stops include Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, and the Muizenberg. Another trike option is riding to Hermanus, and then onwards to Botrivier and over Houw Hoek pass. The entire route is scenic and stunning – you’ll never forget flying down the highway with the wind whipping your hair back and the sun on your cheeks.Read More ...
