Italy Shopping Tour

At some point in life, most people have the desire to visit the land of pasta and espresso. Italy is a dream destination for many, whether it’s taking a gondola ride in Venice or checking out the Coliseum in Rome. And with so many super cities within the country – Milan, Florence, Naples, Genova, Bologna, and more – you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.

Being an artistic country, and home to the fashion capital of the world (Milan), many people come to Italy to spend their hard-earned cash. The shopping possibilities are endless! An Italy shopping tour is a fun way to get out and make the most of your limited time, and when a friendly local guides you, you know you’re in for a fun experience. In Rome, be sure to check out the Castel Romano Outlet, with over 110 top designer stores for clothing, footwear, sports, and accessories. You’ll find brands like Burberry, Dolce&Gabbana, Robert Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino and more. Being an outlet, it offers reduced prices between 30-70%. Plus the place comes with a food court, coffee shops, and restaurants for when you need time to refuel. There’s even a children’s playground.

Another option is to go shopping in gorgeous Tuscany, where there’s no shortage of designer labels. Your guide can take you to a Dolce&Gabbana Outlet before moving onwards to the Fashion Valley Outlet – where you’ll find a huge selection of “in vogue” clothing accessories and home design. There’s a new Luxury Prada Outlet as well, in the Tuscan countryside, next to “The Mall.” At “The Mall” you’ll see Gucci, Armani, Fendi, Cavalli, Ferragamo, Tod’s, and more. Your guide will also take you to a lovely café for a coffee break.

Italy Shopping Tour Continued...

In Florence, opt for a specific fashion tour. You’ll see the world-renown leatherworks at Santa Croce Basilica, as well as Gucci’s brand new location after a long restoration. There’s a Gucci museum, and a Renaissance jewelry workshop near the Old Bridge. And by the time you’re done with that, you can relax with a glass of Chianti wine made by a local winery. After all, you’ll likely have worked up an appetite by then. Who knew shopping could be such hard work?

For something a little different, get out around the coast of Punta Campanella, where you’ll find the remains of an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Minerva. Enjoy the local food in Positano, and then check out all the colourful and adorable little boutique shops around town. After all, good shopping doesn’t have to be all about the designer labels!
